Just Some News

#1. I found out today that the librarian at my school's husband used to be the premier of B.C.

#2. If you were wondering why most of my older blog posts say ," Posted by Pennerfive", it is because I used to have my blog on my mom and dad's email address. Then they got a blog on the same email address. just recently got my own email address so I changed it so my blog was on my email address. On my mom and dad's blog post it also says now, "Posted by Pennerfive". So that is why it says that. Fortunately, on the rest of blog posts it says, "Posted by Hannah".

#3. On Wednesday my class is taking the ferry to Victoria for the day. We are going there because we are studying government in social studies. It will be awesome, and I really hope it isn't going to rain!

Demo Team

I am on the Demo Team at school.  The Demo team is a skipping team that demonstrates different skipping tricks to different schools in Burnaby and Vancouver.  I just got asked to join a few days ago because one of the members had to leave because she kept missing all the practices.  We practice Mondays at lunch and Tuesdays in the morning at 8:00.  I had my first practice today, and I found it hard to keep up, but I will catch on as more practices pass.  Today I learned to do the grapevine and the karaoke.  I can't wait for tomorrow!  

Antibullying Day

  Yesterday was Antibullying Day.  Everybody was supposed to wear pink.  You are suppposed to wear pink because there was a guy who got bullied because he wore pink and the next day everyone in the class (except the bullies) wore pink to school.  Two of the boys in the class started that whole day.

  In January, there was a flash mob at Oakridge Mall in Vancouver for Antibullying Day.  A flash mob is when a whole bunch of people get together and do something to raise awareness for something.  It is supposed to be a surprise.  Here is the video:

Random Thoughts

Here is a list of random thoughts

1.  Have you heard the saying, "For the love of Pete!"? Well, who is Pete?  and why did they (who's they?) choose Pete's name?

2.  Have you watched The Lion King?  Is it good?  I don't know. Tell me.

3.  Here is a really weird song I read in a book.

Down in a meadow in a itty bitty pool fam fee itty fitties and a mommy fittie foo.  Fim! said the mommy fittie, Fim if you can!  Boop boop dittum dattum wittum wattum CHOO!  Boop boop dittum dattum wittum wattum CHOO!

4. Known variations for Justin Beiber's "you smile, I smile".  "You smell, I smell", "You smell, I smile", "You barf, I smile", "You smile, I barf". All variations written by Ms. Parmar's grade 5 classroom.

5.  Something that will make people laugh during a spelling test. "Does spelling count?"

6.   Crows really sound like ducks at 7:00 in the morning. Loud, annoying ducks.  I know this from experience.

7.   The absoulute best way to change Justin Beiber's name.  Just A Beaver.

8.  If your sister brings home a book she made in Kindergarten titled "The Rat", and she wrote her name underneath, the best thing to do would be to add a comma after "The Rat", so it now reads
"The Rat, Sasha".

9.  A guy in my class is named Guray (Goo- ray).  Some students call him Google-ee-ray.  Like the guy on "Monsters Inc."

10.  The mayor of Burnaby is Derek Corrigan
